Fabianski injury update

Lukas Fabianski’s injury, which saw him miss last night’s match against West Brom, is not thought to be serious.

There were fears the Polish international had suffered a major problem when breaking down in the warm-up before the game.

One report even said that he had been unable to kick the ball but that turned out to be wide of the mark.

We understand that instead Fab has suffered a minor knee injury which won’t be a long term problem.

The medical staff – having taken a look at the Hammers no 1 stopper – erred on the side of caution and Darren Randolph took over in goal.

Fab is considered to have only a tiny chance of playing on Sunday though buy will almost certainly be okay to join his nation for the Euro warm-ups.

He didn’t need a scan on the knee but for safety’s sake Randolph is again likely to be between the sticks for the final game of the season.
