Fans react to news Soucek may be for sale
News from ClaretandHugh today that David Moyes may be ready to entertain bids for Tomas Soucek has brought deep concern from many of the followers of the site’s Facebook Group. Here are some random reactions to the report that the manager is ready to listen to offers.
- This makes me very angry. This bloke is top drawer filling a position to make up for other player and coaching tactical inadequacies. He will score goals if let off the leash. Do we really need another Haller debacle and yes I know a lot of folk did not like him too! I really hope this incorrect. I need another glass of red!
- His form has not been nowhere as good this season if we sold him and replaced him with say Philips, Bissouma
- I wonder how we would of finished this season with Soucek and rice playing the positions they played last year Soucek was a proper handful going box to box.
- Being played out of position. Simple as that,
- Can’t let him go. Who can we bring in who’s better than him? He’s given everything and with a bigger squad I think we’ll see him back to his best next season.
- Absolutely ridiculous decision. His form has dropped due to being played out of his natural position due to Rice being played further forward. Also bring played in every game due to our stupidly Small squad. He’s not had a break due to playing the Euros last year. Rice will not be around much longer so we shouldn’t let Soucek go to allow him to get his own way for 1 season at most.
