Fans speak out on Defoe to Irons link
Jermain Defoe has been linked to the club as a January target at around £6 million.
Given his history with the Irons we asked ClaretandHugh Facebook members readers whether they could want him back.

O Should we believe all these reports? I have read about begging letters for players,signing Defoe age 34 ,signing Bacca age 30. Are we going forwards or backwards?
O Signing Defoe isn’t moving backwards. He scores goals and he isn’t injured – that’s two improvements on where we are now.

O £6m for at least 10 goals? good value! The pantomime villain stuff is dead in the water as far as I’m concerned. we got relegated and he wanted to move on, can’t blame him for that.
O I’d have him back in a heartbeat but I bet Sam will be after him if he gets the Palace job!! Sunderland won’t sell Defoe anyway though.
