West Ham loanee substitute Grady Diangana scored twice within six minutes of coming on for his West Bromwich Albion league debut to help beat Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.

After coming on at half-time for Kyle Edwards, Diangana was fed by Romaine Sawyers following a poor clearance and sidestepped nicely before firing in left-footed from more than 20 yards. Diangana then headed in Filip Krovinovic’s deflected shot for his second to ruin the afternoon for new Luton manager Graeme Jones.

“Grady did exactly what we wanted, but it was not only him. It was the whole team,” West Brom manager Slaven Bilic told reporters. “He helped the team, the team helped him. Grady was fantastic.

“It was a different team. Let’s not be unfair to Kyle today [Edwards] – it’s not like it’s ‘Kyle out and Grady in now’, no no no. I said to the guys at half time it could’ve been a few other players as well.

“Second half, not only because of Grady, it was a different team. Much better. ‘I want to do something, I want to win this game, I want to turn it around’.
