Roma are closing in on a deal for West Ham midfielder Sofiane Feghouli claim the Daily Mirror this morning. The Algerian moved to east London on a free transfer from Valencia during the summer but has failed to live up to expectations.

Feghouli has made 15 appearances for Slaven Bilic’s side and scored just one goal, which came against minnows Domzale in the Europe League. The 27-year-old’s poor form cost him a place at the Africa Cup of Nations, and it is close to costing him his place at West Ham. Seven months after signing a three-year deal at the London Stadium, the Hammers are prepared to let him leave.

Serie A side Roma want an initial loan move for Feghouli with the option to buy at the end of the season but West Ham are holding out for a permanent switch up front.

Hull City’s Robert Snodgrass is being reportedly lined up as his replacement.
