The Great Newham London Run will take runners through Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Starting from the ArcelorMittal Orbit, the 10k course makes its way past the London Aquatics Centre before looping back round behind the Stadium towards the Copper Box Arena. At the 7k mark runners will cross over the River Lea towards Lee Valley VeloPark. At this point there’s only a few kilometres left before heading back into the Stadium where the finish line sits on the running track.
The Müller Anniversary Games returns on Friday 22nd July. The Olympic Stadium will play host to the prestigious IAAF Diamond League meet on 22-23 July, the IPC Grand Prix Final will also be incorporated into Saturday’s programme. World record holder Bolt will grace the track at the London Anniversary Games, along with many of the world’s best athletes and paralympic stars such as David Weir, Jonnie Peacock and Hannah Cockroft, before they head to Rio de Janeiro for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The stadium will be then be set to host the first West Ham match, a Europa League third round qualifying match on Thursday 4th August then the pre-season friendly against Juventus on Sunday 7th August.
