Fit again Wilshere could be on his way out again

Jack Wilshere’s first match action in months with the under 23s will have brought a smile to the faces of many insiders but not necessarily for the reason most would imagine.

Let’s make no bones about this. Jack is a a world class player at his best but sadly those days look remain firmly behind him it seems.

And sadly, it’s not hard to be cynical about where he may be headed over the next few months given the worrying injury circumstances which put him right up there in the Andy Carroll category.

Oh that it were different …but then if it were he probably wouldn’t be on West Ham’s books in the first place would he?

So why will some be wearing a smile?

Easily answered. His return to action over the last few games of the season will probably be confined to half an hour here and 60 minutes there.

I may be wrong but I see him getting playing time despite Lanzini, Nasri, Anderson, Snodgrass  and Noble being available because his future it seems to me is out somewhere on loan and he needs to demonstrate he is fit again.

And maybe, just maybe, a club may just be tempted to give him a loan deal which could easily suit the Hammers even should they be paying let’s say 50-60 per cent of his £100k a week wages.

It would be fantastic to see him back at his best and doing it for us. Let’s hope it happens but the bench and a few sub displays, and what that might bring in the loan market, would at least give the Irons another option.
