Sam Byram, Jordan Hugill, Edi Fernandes, Reece Oxford and Sead Hakšabanović have been left out of the West Ham four day trip to Austria.

Byram was part of a U23 side who faced Barnet last Saturday and he is likely to remain in the squad until his exit from West Ham which could come in the form of a season-long loan to Nottingham Forest with an option to buy.  Jordan Hugill will suffer the same fate as the club look to find him a club either permanently or on loan after investing £10m in the player under David Moyes.

The club is also looking for buyers for Centre Back Reece Oxford in excess of £10m and at 19 years old he could himself in the U23’s in the meantime with no room in Pellegrini’s plans for next season.

Sead Hakšabanović and Edi Fernandes are both under 23 and could also find themselves in the Premier League 2 squad as the club look for loan spells for both.

The U23’s face Billericay Town at AGP Arena on Tuesday evening followed by Watford at their training ground on Friday lunch time.
