Fletcher says he improved after leaving West Ham

Former Hammer Ashley Fletcher says he has improved as a player since leaving West Ham in the Summer.

Speaking to Middlesborough official club website he said

“It’s always good as a young player to go out and get league experience, the success I had there was fantastic and had a big impact on my career so far.”

“It’s everything I thought it would be, there’s an unbelievable spirit here, as we’ve shown in games coming back from losing positions. I think that’s testament to the lads that we have a strong dressing room.”

“For me it was all about coming and playing games. I think I’ve improved as a player and hopefully I can get a few more – and some more goals as well.”

Middlesbrough signed the former West Ham United striker Ashley Fletcher on a four-year deal paying the Hammers £6.5m in a transfer fee.
