Former Hammer Jack Wilshere has admitted he is interested in a move to Spain or Italy after he cancelled his West Ham £100,000 per week contract by mutual consent.

Speaking to Talksport  Wilshere revealed he will ‘take a week or two’ to make up his mind as a free agent

I think I want to try something different, LaLiga or Italy, something not many English players have done,’ the former Arsenal midfielder told talkSPORT.

Wilshere had been linked to move to Glasgow Rangers or a return to Arsenal since leaving West Ham but that is now in doubt after his latest comments.

‘I will probably take a week or two to decide. I was in this position at Arsenal and if I learned anything from that it is to take your time. It’s not that I have any regrets at joining West Ham, I just need to take the time. I just want to be happy playing football again,’ Wilshere told Darren Bent.

‘Probably in the first three games when I signed for West Ham that was the last time I was happy playing football. I just want to be happy with a smile on my face and being an important player for a team.’
Wilshere admitted that he was thankful that David Moyes was honest with him this season in admitting he was no longer in plans.
