Roy Hodgson could turn to the former Hammers favourite after being hit by injury to Christian Benteke who could be out for six weeks or so with a knee injury
The Mirror reports that contact has been made with the out of contract striker who was released by Indonesian side Persib Bandung last month despite having only joined them in March.
The striker has also turned out for Chelsea, Wolves, Charlton, Aston Villa and Celtic and would be desperate to make a return to Premier League football.
