Sam Byram …growing up

Leicester City arrive at the London Stadium tomorrow without a single away win to their name this season and just three points collected on the road.

Ok, that sad record for them is there to be changed but such stats may bring a smile to the face of the Hammers squad knowing that they need to make amends in a big way for the lifeless showing at Bournemouth.

And with a newly shaped midfield  following the decision by Mark Noble to withdraw, the strong possibility of Andrew Ayew alongside Andy Carroll and Sam Byram dropping into the back four there’s a buzz that the Hammers are all ready to make amends.

Leicester arrive on the back of an aggregate Champions Cup win and were drawn today against Ateletico Madrid in the last eight which could take their eyes off the event at hand.

But interim boss Craig Shakespeare admits that his eyes are solely on the Irons although he is totally baffled by the side’s away form.

City have picked up just three points from 13 away games and only Burnley with two points from 14 games have a worse record.

He said: “It is difficult to put your finger on the away form. I spoke about it after Seville game. We have to try and put it right.

“It is baffling, but we have to be sure we use the confidence and the momentum gained from the last three results to really have a go at West Ham.”

The Foxes have no injury worries.
