Gold: “Couple of signings getting close”

West Ham chairman, David Gold has revealed that two signings are getting close and he hopes to have some news soon.  Speaking on twitter a few minutes ago Gold said: “Couple of signings getting close, hope to have some news soon. dg”

One of them is expected to be Jonathan Calleri who is on Olympic duty but expected to join the Hammers soon as Argentina gets knocked out. The second signing is more of a mystery could it be Andre Ayew from Swansea could it be Carlos Bacca from AC Milan, could it be left back Andy Robertson from Hull?

Another name to be linked is Palermo left-back Achraf Lazaar who Goal.com say is our latest target we step up their search for Aaron Cresswell’s replacement.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, West Ham could be about to complete a deal for Norwich City defender Martin Olsson before the end of the week.
