David Gold has revealed  following ClaretandHugh’s exclusive story that the club has received planning permission to increase the Olympic Stadium capacity to 60,000, that a further 6,000 seats may become available.

CandH broke the news as early as 6pm last night (Wed) and later Gold suggested on Twitter that the further 6k seats could become available.

The great news that the Hammers fans are pushing capacity requirements to the absolute limits came as Gold replied to a follower on the social network.

@Dan Mills‏@mrdantheman123 said: “Absolutely brill Olympic Stadium to increase to 60,000. Can it increase further (66,000) in future?

DG reponded: “66,000 seats are possible but it will take time and money. dg

The cost involved would cover such items as toilet facilities but it now seems certain that the club is on its way to filling every corner of the OS.

And this will give great hope to the thousands who remain on the priority list hoping that they can be accommodated.
