Gold tells fan to have a lie down

West Ham Joint Chairman, David Gold has suggested one West Ham fan called Danny have a lie down after he suggested that the owners had sold our souls.

Danny messaged the 80 year old chairman on twitter to say: “Been going to the Hammers since 1978. you have sold our soul, our club and a huge part of our lives. Been (to) both Premier League games”

Gold replied “Pull yourself together Danny we are 4 games into a new season and just moved into new iconic stadium. Lie down dg”

Gold played down the recent hysterics in the media about the London Stadium troubles saying:

“50 years ago we put a man on the moon. So I don’t think it’s beyond the wit of man/woman to solve the problems at the new London stadium. dg”

Confidentially adding: “The stewarding issue will be resolved. dg”

The chairman also emphasised the club’s ambitions at the new stadium despite the teething troubles by saying: “There’s absolutely no reason why we can’t be playing in the champions league with in the next five years. dg”
