Gonzo gives his take on Moyes

ClaretandHugh’s partner Gonzo of Hammers Chat is no lover of the Hammers board and isn’t overly keen on David Moyes.

He didn’t want him back at the club after his first management spell and isn’t sure he’s the right bloke for the job now but he understands we are always going to be short of options.

But in his latest video, he makes it clear that he can’t go with those fans who seem to be blaming the Scot for the defeat at Arsenal on Saturday have got it wrong.

Indeed he was impressed with the performance putting defeat down to Declan Rice and Andry Yarmolenko failing to track their men at key Arsenal goal moments.

And he believes that if “the board get their fingers out” and give Moyes a new signing we may well be okay this season despite the poisonous London Stadium atmosphere which he claims has made sure very few managers want to come and take charge of the place.

However, in this video, despite all the reservations he and us have about the state of our club from the top down, he has hope for the Wolves match and admits that if we play anything like we did against Arsenal, that could be a game to which we can look forward.
