Clyde Tyldesley – the ITV commentator -has apparently been impressed by Sead Haksabanovic’s form on loan at IFK Norrköping this year.

The 20 year old, who cost the Irons around £3 million, was involved in the 7-0 hammering of Montenegro last night and came off in the 68th minute with an eye injury having done himself no harm with his performance.

West Ham fans may well see something of Haksabanovic in the future,” said Tyldesley while commentating on on Thursday night.

Earlier he had commented on his performance at Wembley that he had caught the eye.

In fact the midfielder looked lively and bright, taking set pieces from either side of the pitch and almost setting up a goal with a great free kick which saw a thumping header well saved by Jordan Pickford.

Tyldesey added: “West Ham paid about £3 million for him a couple of years ago. He did play a couple of cup ties and was loaned to Malaga last season and now in Sweden, he’s been scoring goals for Norrköping and been very impressive at the back end of that season.”
Whether the player did enough to encourage Manuel Pellegrni to keep him on board remains to be seen but in any event he is contracted to return to Sweden when the new season starts in April
