Hallelujah! Fab’s back

Lukasz Fabianski is back in light training with hopes that he could make a first team return by mid-December.

The Polish international was seen in a video posted by Albian Ajeti saving balls fired from a machine today raising hopes that he is set for a rapid return.

We immediately checked with our own sources and learned that a mid December return is a genuine possibility.

We were told Fab was making better than expected progress and certainly a December return was on but probably no sooner than the Southampton match on December 14 and more likely the Boxing Day match at Crystal Palace.

It would bring an end to the disastrous Roberto era which probably more than anything else has put Pellegrini’s job under the most serious threat.

A source told us: “It’s great to see him back training – all our fingers are crossed for as early a return as possible.”
