West Ham’s dispute with Eintracht Frankfurt over the payment of Sebastien Haller’s transfer fee has finally been resolved following a Fifa investigation, the Telegraph has confirmed this afternoon.

The world governing body looked at a complaint over a £5.4million instalment not being paid to the Bundesliga club in May, with the probe into the matter completed two weeks ago. Club insiders have now confirmed an agreement between the clubs over the structure of Haller’s remaining transfer fee instalments.

The finalised terms still need to be rubber-stamped by Fifa, they confirmed to Telegraph Sport.

In relation to this matter, we can confirm that a decision was rendered on 25 August 2020 by Fifa’s Players’ Status Committee, notified to the parties on 1 September 2020,” said a Fifa spokesperson. “However, as the case is not yet final and binding, we are not in a position to comment further.”

The club are yet to pay the outstanding payment due last May but it will be resolved soon following the committee’s decision.
