Hammer agrees new contract

Club captain Mark Noble has agreed a new one-year contract with West Ham according to a report by talkSPORT this morning.

The Hammers has been restricted to a bit-part role this season, starting just three games, but remains an important part of the squad according to David Moyes.

The Hammers have now handed him an extended short deal as reward for the influence he continues to have on teammates, with an announcement due later today the radio station says.

Noble has spent his entire career at West Ham, making more than 500 appearances for the club.

The 33-year-old has only played 304 minutes in 14 league appearances this term, with the the last match he started in the top-flight the 3-0 defeat at Chelsea in December.

He is regularly used by the manager as a late substitution when West Ham need to see the game out and his attitude has been exemplary when called upon.
