Albian Ajeti has checked into a five-star Glasgow hotel ahead of sealing a permanent move to Celtic.

The 23-year-old arrived in Scotland via private jet from Basel, Switzerland at 10 am this morning as he looks to finalise personal terms with the Scottish Premiership club. He had mulled over the offer while on holiday in Sardina.

He will be given a tour of Celtic Park and the training ground at Lennoxtown before completing a medical which if successful will result in him being revealed a Celtic signing.

The permanent transfer is said to worth £4.5m, a  £3.3m loss on the £7.8m the Hammers paid Basel just over a year ago.

Add-ons could take the fee to £6m reducing the loss to £1.8m

The Hammers are believed to have a 15% sell-on clause inserted in the deal.

The striker failed to score in twelve appearances for West Ham last season and was not in David Moyes plans for next season.

The Swiss international becomes the first player to be sold to raise transfer funds for the manager to bring in a few new faces.
