Hammer Reece Oxford has returned from Borussia Monchengladbach in Germany after his loan came to an end.

Oxford announced the news on social media saying “My time at Borussia Monchengladbach has come to an end and I would like to thank all the staff, players and fans for supporting me and making me feel so welcome.  I’ve enjoyed my time and have some good memories that will stick with me.  I wish everyone at the club all the best for the future.”

Previous media reports suggested Oxford wants to stay in Germany and Borussia Monchengladbach would like to sign the Hammer permanently. Reports also persist that fellow Bundesliga side FC Leipzig are interested with up to a £12 million bid with add-ons worth another £8 million. A sell-on clause on might also be an option.

The new West Ham manager due to appointed as soon as tomorrow will have the final say on Reece Oxford on whether he stays in the squad, is sold or goes out on loan again.
