West Ham have accepted the inevitable and will not be appealing the FA’s decision to charge the club with failing to control their players during the match between the Irons and Spurs on Saturday.

A massive free-for-all broke out in the 95th minute and as a result the ruling body has charged both clubs.

Referee Michael Oliver showed yellow cards to West Ham’s Andy Carroll, Winston Reid and Andre Ayew, while Eric Dier and Fernando Llorente were booked for the visitors.

An FA statement read: “It is alleged that in or around the 95th minute of the game, both clubs failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.”

Both clubs were given until 6pm this evening to respond to the charge but the Hammers will accept what’s coming their way.

ClaretandHugh was told: “Neither club has a defence and we will be accepting it which is likely to bring a £20k fine.”
