Middlesbrough have tonight announced on their website that they have agreed a deal which will see Darren Randolph sign for the club.

The website statement says: “The club have agreed a deal in principle with West Ham United to sign goalkeeper Darren Randolph, subject to a medical and personal terms.

The Republic of Ireland international will travel to Rockliffe Park on Saturday in anticipation of finalising the move.

The 30-year-old will bring a wealth of experience, having made almost 350 career appearances since making his debut for Charlton Athletic in the Premier League 10 years ago.

Randolph, who had a number of loan spells during his time as a young player at Charlton, has since been with Motherwell and Birmingham City, before joining the Hammers.

The Irishman, who has 21 caps for his country and played in every game in Euro 2016 for the Republic, made 22 Premier League appearances for West Ham last season.”

ClaretandHugh wishes the stopper every success in his move to the North east.
