West Ham are back on the trail of Swansea’s Andre Ayew but Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins is unimpressed with our opening offer of £15 million.

Rumours have been circulating of our interest for the last 24 hours and we have had it confirmed by a source close to the club that the Irons have renewed the interest they first displayed last summer.

The Welsh club are ready to let the player move on and there is interest from Chelsea and Liverpool when the Ghanain first become available from Marseilles.

We were told this evening: “The Irons have been back in for the player but there suggested £15 million was of no interest to Jenkins who also has interest from Chelsea and Liverpool.”

The 26 year old managed 12 goals for the Swans last season and can play through the middle or wide on the left.

The Hammers have also rejected the possibility of moving for Croatian Mario Mandzukic for whom Juventus would listen to offers of around £23 million.
