Hammers Big Six cash support “very marginal”

West Ham’s support of the top six clubs in the TV cash row that is threatening to destabilise the  Premier League   is starting to crumble.

Any defection by the Hammers would come as a big blow to the clubs wanting wanting a bigger slice of overseas television rights.

The Irons have always been considered as one of a handful clubs outside the so called elite group  who would agree a compromise which allows TV money from abroad to be part-distributed on the basis of league finishing positions.

And after Wednesday’s summit meeting was adjourned with no decision the Hammers made it clear to ClaretandHugh their support was becoming increaingsly marginal.

A top insider told us: “We are very marginal in our support and as ever the Big 6 threatening a break away into a European Super League if they don’t get their way.
