Blind Hammer believes The Hammers can cash in on Everton’s Weakness

Hammers can cash in on Toffees big weakness

New Claret and Hugh blogger Blind Hammer discusses what he considers to be the weaknesses in Saturday evening’s opponents Everton weakness.

Anxious supporters sometimes provide the best guide to a team’s weakness.

Everton supporters are no different. Their anxieties are revealing. They believe their team  are terrible at defending set pieces.

Everton demonstrated this in their FA Cup defeat against Millwall as well as in other PL games. Toffees’ fans have savaged their team’s inability to defend from restarts and claim that they are among the worst in the league.

Unfortunately, West Ham do not have a great record themselves. Until recently they were also one of the least potent at exploiting other’s fragilities.

However, a recent flurry of set-piece goals encourages more optimism that we can breach Everton’s supposed soft centre. A combination of Snodgrass’s improved delivery, and possibly Ogbonna’ (if played) or Rice’s headed prowess, could make the difference.

The case for including Antonio’s aerial strength on Saturday is also strengthened.

Free of international breaks we can only hope Snodgrass, Noble as well as Antonio ET. Al. have taken the opportunity to practise routines.
