West Ham want to bring Darren Randolph back to the club in January as the new back-up keeper.

Club sources have confirmed to ClaretandHugh that talks have indeed started with Middlesborough as first reported @ https://www.90min.com/posts/6513370-exclusive-west-ham-open-talks-with-middlesbrough-over-darren-randolph-transfer?utm_source=RSS

Randolph was the Championship keeper of the year  last season but with the club in 19th place and involved in a likely relegation scrap Boro are open to offers for the stopper.

Randolph spent two years at Upton Park between 2015 and 2017, making 42 appearances before taking over from ,and eventually losing his place again, to Adrián.

A Hammers source explained to us by e mail that the club see him as the perfect back-up keeper and given the Boro’s position, he could easily be up for a move back to the Hammers.

He is on a deal of around of £30k a week which would also be too much for Boro were they to drop into League One although they could want their money back on the player who cost them £5 million.
