Reports that West Ham have joined Watford and  Newcastle in the £7 million plus chase for Hull’s Kamil Grosicki should be treated with caution.

Poland international wideman Grosicki wants to continue playing in the Premier League, and is being suggested as a back up to Rob Snodgrass but given  that we buy the strikers we need that position is booked for Michail Antonio anyway.

Apparently the Tigers will sell if they can recoup the  fee they paid French side Rennes for him five months ago and new Hornets boss Marco Silva, who signed Grosicki for the Yorkshire club is favourite to get him anyway.

The Hammers have made it clear they are concentrating on signing strikers and a source inside the LS told us today: “Obviously we look at all good players but it’s clear our priorities are up top.

We simply have to have strikers who have a good fitness record. It’s hardly rocket science.”
