West Ham rose to 15th place in the Premier League after the impressive 3-0 away win against Stoke City yesterday as Newcastle slipped into the relegation zone after their loss to Arsenal. The Hammers are now just one point off 12th place but in theory, could reach the top ten with three winnable games between now and 2nd January.

The Hammers face struggling Newcastle on Saturday 23rd December at the London Stadium and a win could put the Irons as high as 12th place for Christmas day depending on results around them.  Palace faces Swansea, Brighton faces Watford and Southampton face Huddersfield. A win over the Magpies and losses or draws for Swansea, Watford and Southampton would give David Moyes a 12th place Christmas present.

West Ham faces 16th place Bournemouth away on Boxing day and back to back wins over the Magpies and the Cherries could raise the Hammers point tally to 23 points which could be enough to reach the top ten with a bit of luck.

The new year brings relegation contenders West Bromwich Albion to the London Stadium on 2nd January. The Baggies are currently second from bottom and a fourth back to back win for the Hammers could put them on 26 points and as high as 9th place if other teams around fail to pick up points over the Christmas period.
