West Ham have made no inquiry for Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge and will not be doing so.

Talksport’s Mick Quinn, former Newcastle and Coventry striker, claimed the player may be at the centre of talks involving a loan deal during the last hours of the transfer window.

But our sources claim there is nothing in the claim and told us that Slaven Bilic is more than happy with his squad and the business the club has done in the January window.

Sturridge has regularly  been mentioned  in relation to the Hammers since summer but we were told: “This is almost to be expected but there’s nothing in it.

“There’s always the chance that something will pop up before the 11pm deadline but beyond that it is 99 per cent certain our business is now done.”
