West Ham is eighth in a Premier League table of net spend over the past five seasons.
Manchester City led the way with a net spend of £505m or £101m per season, Manchester United are second with a net spend of £379m or £76m per season.
Everton is third with a net spend of £275m averaging out at £55m per season.
Arsenal is next with a net spend of £249m working out nearly £50m per season.
Newly promoted Aston Villa have still spent £198m net over the last five years putting them on an average of nearly £40m per season.
Brighton have spent over £197m in net spend making their per season average £39.5m
Wolves also outspend the Hammers with nearly £185m in net spend averaging out to £37m.
West Ham have spent £308m net over the past five seasons meaning their average is just over £31m per season.
The table shows net spend is everything though with Chelsea (£26m per season) Leceister City (£22.5m per season) Spurs (£19m per season) and current league leaders Liverpool (£18.5m) all way below the Hammers net spend.
