Teenage Chelsea striker Dominic Solanke is reported as being of interest to West Ham and several other Premier League clubs.
The 19 year old seems likely to leave Stamford Bridge when his contract expires in the summer with wage demands of around £50,000-a-week too rich for even Chelsea’s blood.
Apart from the Irons, Everton are said to have an interest along with Sunderland and Arsenal..
Liverpool were linked with him at one stage but they they are likely to look elsewhere with Solankeset to command an £8m fee through a tribunal although club from abroad would only be required to pay £300,000 in compensation.
A Hammers source said: “We are scouting players all the time – he and others – are among those that would have been looked at.”
