Hammers eye Confederations Cup marksman

The Hammers  are being linked with yet another new name as the summer transfer window warms up.

The Mirror claim that we are now looking at Mexico and Benfica marksman Raul Jimenez who is also reportedly a target for Liverpool.

According to this morning’s report the Irons have a long-standing interest in the 26 year old £19million-rated striker and say that his club are now ready to listen to offer

Jimenez has been in action for Mexico  at the Confederations Cup, scoring in Mexico’s 2-1 win over New Zealand but was sent off against Portugal in the third place play-off defeat.

He moved to Benfica from Atletico Madrid two years ago, after complications prevented in a potential move to east London.    ed 11 goals in all competitions for his club last season and has 12 goals from his 54 international caps.
