Hammers eye Fulham striker

West Ham will move quickly in a bid to snap up Aleksander Mitrovic if  the Cottagers are relegated at the end of the season.

Former Hammer Scott Parker is currently trying to steer the south west London outfit to safety but should he fail the Hammers will move straight in on the 24 year old.

The club look dead and buried on 17 points but Mitrovic has managed to score 10 of the 28 goals they have managed in his 30 appearances.

However, the Irons won’t find it cheap prising him away as he signed a deal until 2023 when joining the Cottagers from Newcastle after a season’s loan from Newcastle.

He cost around £15 million and the Hammers can expect to face a demand of double that although in reality a fee of around £25 million would probably see the Hammers get their man.

As reported earlier they see Celta Vigo’s Maxi Gomez as a priority target and he could become available for as little as £22 million.
