Hammers face new threat to Euro ambitions

Brighton and Hove Albion emerged as a new threat to West Ham’s European ambitions when  thrashing Manchester United who fell apart in the face of some outstanding football from the south coast side.

And whilst their 4-o defeat has let the Hammers back in with a hope of finishing in the top six, we will need to win at least one of our remaining  games to ensure that Brighton can’t overhaul us.

However, on the flip side is that should we beat Norwich tomorrow we are again within three points of the Old Trafford outfit with one game in hand.

With Wolves now on 50 points, just two behind the Hammers, the Carrow Road game has taken on a seriously new importance given that Brighton is our final game of the season with Manchester City to deal with in our penultimate League fixture of the campaign.

Brighton look bankers in theirs with Leeds arriving  whilst Wolves have a tough climax  having to meet Manchester City at home on Wednesday before ending their season with games against Norwich and Liverpool.
