West Ham loyalist James Collins looks booked to see out the final season of his contract at the London Stadium.

There has been much discussion about the 34 year old’s future but insiders at the club claim he will not be sold.

Here’s how fans and followers of ClaretandHugh’s Facebook forum @https://www.facebook.com/groups/363174467150521/ responded to the news at the site.

O Ginge may not be the most gifted player… But no one has ever put their body on the line, grafted and give more for us over the years. He blocks everything, gives it his all since, only one since Alvin Martin. A proper Hammer.
O Ginge knows he is down the pecking order, but what a guy to fall back on when we need him. If he plays six plus games he would have fine a decent job, great player
O He may not get a lot of game time but his presence around the training ground and dressing room are invaluable…. true iron.
O He is a class player and will go down as a West Ham great, 100 per Hammer, he could do a job in defence training when retires for us !.
O He’s part of the furniture now. He’s one of us.
O Keep him till the three youngsters are ready to take over
O Good we need players with heart
