Hammers given extra time off

While the majority of the first team will be expected to report for duty tomorrow morning at Rush Green, those who were on international duty over the summer will be given an extra five days off.

Robert Snodgrass (Scotland), Manuel Lanzini (Argentina), Aaron Cresswell (England) Darren Randolph (Ireland), Jose Fonte (Portugal) Andre Ayew (Ghana) and Sofiane Feghouli (Algeria) all involved in International duty over the summer so are contractually entitled to the extra days off but some may still decide to return tomorrow for the start of pre-season training.

All of those who were on International Duty are still expected to board a plane next Monday to Austria.

The first team squad will spend 11 days in Bad Tatzmannsdorf before returning to their families for two days rest before flying off again to Germany for a further 11 days of extensive training.

Following Germany, they will jet off again to Iceland to complete their European tour against Manchester City in Reykjavik.

Pre-Season Schedule 

July 5th  Players report to Rush Green to resume training

July 10-21: Training camp in Bad Tatzmannsdorf, Austria. Squad staying at Avita Resort hotel 

July 24-August 3: Training camp in Rotenburg Wuemme, Germany. Squad staying at Luxury Hotel Landhaus Wachtelhof

July 28: v Werder Bremen (Schneverdingen, Germany)

July 29: v Werder Bremen (Lohne, Germany)

August 1: v Altona 93 (Hamburg, Germany)

August 4: v Manchester City (Laugardalsvöllur, Reykjavik)

West Ham will kick-off the Premier League season at Old Trafford aginst Manchester United on Saturday 12th August subject to TV Schedule changes announced next week.
