Hammers given midfielder price

Reports claiming West Ham will need to pay £15 million plus for Olympiacos attacking midfielder Kostas Fortounis are circulating in Europe amid claims that he is on the brink of signing a new deal at the club.

The player has a contract until June 2020 and the reports claim the Hammers have already bid £10 million but have been told to fond another £5 million.

The report comes from Sdna.Grvia Sport via sportwitness.co.uk where it is claimed that the 26-year old, was said to be on the verge of agreeing a new three-year contract with the Greek giants.

Sdna then claim that Olymiacos want £15 million – a crazy figure for a left back with just a year left on his deal -adding they will only enter into transfer talks for bids above €15m.

Fortounis and Olympiacos have reportedly held contract talks in the last two months and they’ve yet to agree on a new deal for the player but are understood to be close.
