Hammers had £127m on the bench

David Moyes had a total of £127m of players on the West Ham bench at the Etihad on Wednesday night on what must be a club record.

Fabian Balbuena (£3.5m), Pablo Zabaleta (Free), Felipe Anderson (£41.5m) , Manuel Lanzini  (£10.75m) , Jarrod Bowen (£22m) , Sebastien Haller (£45m) and Darren Randolph (£4.25m) were the seven West Ham players to fill the bench when the Premier League game kicked off against Manchester City,

Pablo Fornals who cost the Hammers another £25m last summer could not even make the bench.

By comparison, the Hammers  starting XI only in Manchester cost the club £72.m to assemble

Fabianski £7m, Ryan Fredericks (Free) Issa Diop (£22m) Angelo Ogbonna (£10m), Aaron Cresswell (£4.3m), Arthur Masuaku (£6.4m) Declan Rice (Free) Tomas Soucek (£3.5m), Mark Noble (Free), Robert Snodgrass (£10.8m) Michail Antonio (£8.5m) 

It remains to see who the manager will leave on the bench for Monday’s away game against Premier League leaders Liverpool.
