West Ham have been hot by another major injury blow with Ryan Fredericks set to spend three months on the sidelines.

The right back was injured at Huddersfield after appearing as a substitute for Pablo Zabaleta with manager Manuel Pellegrini revealing after the match he had been unable to walk.

Fredericks has damaged his ankle and according to ClaretandHugh‘s best source looks set to be out of action for around three months.

In a text message our highly placed insider told us: “It looked bad at the time and it has turned out that way. We expect Ryan to be out for approximately three months. We feel sorry for the lad and we as a club are getting no luck with injuries whatsoever at the moment.

Although both Andy Carroll and Jack Wilshere are expected back after the international break it means Fredericks will join Winston Reid, Andriy Yarmolenko, Manu Lanzini and Carlos Sanchez as long term injury victims.
