Josh King’s move to West Ham is being held up over his wage demands according to the Daily Mirror.

The Bournemouth striker has hit  stalemate over his proposed switch to join the Hammers

The 28-year-old is out-of-contract at the end of the season and will be available on a free transfer but West Ham cannot loan him as they already have the maximum domestic loans in Dawson and Benrahama.

The striker wants a big pay-day when he signs his next deal in lieu of any transfer fee being due to his new club.

King would pocket a hefty sum by allowing his contract to run down and he wants compensation for any sacrifice reflected in his new pay deal at his next club.

The Cherries are holding out for a transfer fee in excess of £10m for a player who has suffered with injuries so far this season but who has made a steady return to action during the past month.

West Ham are refusing to be held to ransom having a number of enquires and bids already in for multiple strikers.
