West Ham are holding fast to their position that Michail Antonio is going nowhere this summer.

ClaretandHugh was the first to reveal yesterday that the injured player has been offered a near double your money deal and that he was currently considering the terms.

Various media reports put their own spin on things but essentially the Irons have offered the 100 per cent increase, not because they have to but because they want to reward his efforts.

And a club source has been in touch with the Mirror explaining virtually the same words as were used to us when we broke the story following a report in the Times that the player was trying to force his way out of the LS.

The national newspaper reports the insider as saying: “With five years left on his current contract Antonio will be going nowhere.

“The board have offered nearly double his current package as he is a valued member of Slaven’s squad, but if it’s not a good enough offer for him then he will have to stay on what he’s on.”
