West Ham today declared themselves hopeful that a deal to bring Gokhan Tore to the club is set to be concluded over the next few days.

A top source at the club told Claretandhugh a few minutes ago that talks were “hopefully in the late stages” and that the Besiktas winger “could be on board before the end of the week.”

It remains unclear whether the deal will be for a season’s loan or on a permanent basis with staged payments over the terms of the contract.

The club has consistently maintained they want a loan deal with an option to buy but at this stage it’s not clear whether that has been the basis on which today’s message of “hope” has been issued to this website.

However, one way or another, the negotiations appear to be heading towards their conclusion with the deal more likey to happen than not.

Our source said: “The talks are still going on and are hopefully in the late stage. We have our fingers crossed he could be on bard by the end of the week.”
