Hammers increasing confidence on Carvalho

The Irons are becoming increasingly confident that their swoop for William Carvalho will be completed within a week.

We reported yesterday that our sources admitted a the deal still hadn’t been done but the negotiating but serious negotiations are continuing  with Slaven Bilic telling the board to get him at any cost.

The Hammers will not go to the near 40 million euros release clause but having offered 30 million believe the deal is now set to be done.

They are making up the difference on the price with add ons made up essentially of performance-related bonuses.

Carvalho, 25, meanwhile is reported to have agreed a five year deal with us and was left out of  Sporting Lisbon’s team which won 1-0 on Friday.
