West Ham are keen to offload  Norwegian Hammer Martin Samuelsen who has one year of his contract remaining.

The 22-year-old is reported to have no long term future at the club under Manuel Pellegrini and the Hammers now want to cut their losses on his £8,000 per week in wages.

Last season he returned to his initial club in Norway Vard Haugesund but the club will look to either loan him out again to cover as much of the £416,000 in wages remaining or possibly agree to terminate his contract by mutual consent if he can find another club this summer.

Samuelson joined West Ham in 2015 on a free transfer from the Manchester City Academy but failed to make the step up to the first team despite a promising in the Under 23’s.

The youngster had spent time on loan with  VVV-Venlo, Peterborough United, Blackburn Rovers and Burton Albion in recent seasons.
