West Ham has today been linked with uventus striker Mario Mandzukic.
Tuttosport reports the Irons, West Ham, Inter Milan and Napoli are all keen but the Irons may hold the edge because of Slaven Bilic’s relationship with Mandzukic.
It was former Croatia boss Bilic who handed Mandzukic his international debut back in November 2007, and named the striker in his squad for the 2012 European Championships.
Juventus
paid a fee of €19 million for him but
Mandzukic
struggled to repay that investment with his performances on the pitch.
He broke the deadlock in the club’s 2-0
Supercoppa
Italiana
triumph over
Lazio
in late August, before a goal against Manchester City in the Champions League showed a great understanding with Paul
Pogba
. Mandzukic earns €3.5m or around £56,000 per week at Juventus.
