Hammers loan to West Brom stalls

According to Sky Sports News former West Ham manager, Slaven Bilic wants to sign young Hammers Academy centre back Ajobola Alese on loan as West Brom look to put the finishing touches to their squad.

Sky claim that the Baggies are interested in a loan deal for 18-year-old centre-back  but are being put off by the Hammers’ demand of an additional loan fee on top of his full wages.

The report claims the loan negotiations have currently stalled as a result.

Alese is highly rated in the U23 squad but the signing of 18-year-old Portuguese centre back Gonçalo Cardoso on a five-year contract yesterday has reduced his chances of breaking through to the first team in the next season.

The youngster signed his first three-year professional with the Hammers last July after he represented England at the UEFA Under-17 European Championship finals.
