Hammers look to match away day record

West Ham hopes to record their fourth Premier League away win in a row for the first time since September 2007 when they face Burnley at Turf Moor later today.

The Hammers have already beaten Newcastle United, Fulham and Southampton away from home in December winning more points in a single month than at any time in their Premier League history  (15).

Should West Ham secure another victory at Burnley today, not only would they extend that points record to 18, but they would also chalk up four consecutive away wins on the road for the first time since beating Wigan Athletic, Manchester United, Birmingham City and Reading spread across two seasons eleven-and-a-half years ago.

Non-top flight West Ham did win four away league games in a row during the 2011/12 Championship season, at Brighton & Hove Albion, Hull City, Coventry City and Middlesbrough.

West Ham kick off at 2.15pm this afternoon with bookies making them the Evens favourites for the win.
