West Ham insiders are admitting the club faces a strong possibility of having to find a completely revamped strike force in the summer!

Either of  Lucas Perez and Javier Hernandez could be gone today so long as they can get a loan striker in and whichever remains – if either  – looks certain to go in the summer.

And Andy Carroll’s hopes of receiving any sort of new deal have all but disappeared after a series of lack lustre performances this season.

ClaretandHugh has been told that his apparent inability to fit the style of play Manuel Pellegrini’s wants has left him looking at a  pay as you play deal at best.

But we understand – with his home on the market – the Geordie remains keen on a move into the MLS and that would leave the club with only the unpredictable Mark Arnautovic whose brother Danijel constantly links him with moves away.

The Hammers hold a big interest in Celta Vigo’s Maxi Gomez but suggestions he will be on his way to the club today are way wide of the mark but  the Celta Vigo hitman looks like the next big money arrival.

The Irons are also hopeful of collecting extra funds from the sale of on loan Jordan Hugill for whom they want a minimum of £7 million from Middlesbrough.

And they are hopeful that a deal will be done for Edmilson Fernandes who has made 22 appearances on loan for Serie A outfit Fiorentina.
